Paired box gene 3 (Pax3) is a transcription factor that plays a critical role in embryonic development, particularly in the formation of somites, neural crest cells, and muscle cells. The Pax3 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of Pax3. The vector contains a Pax3 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report Pax3 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
