CCAAT displacement protein (CDP) is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses, particularly in the unfolded protein response and endoplasmic reticulum stress. The CDP luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of CDP. The vector contains a CDP DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report CDP activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
