Obesity increases the risk for metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis, and thrombosis. A number of cytokines that are involved in the development of these diseases have been identified. These include adiponectin, leptin, TNFα, IGF-1, resistin, TGFβ, IL-6, and PAI-1. Signosis' Obesity ELISA Strip can quantitatively profile these eight cytokines. The expression levels of each cytokine can be quantitatively compared between different samples.
